Educational Opportunities in Recreation Therapy

We offer an exciting 15-week educational internship program providing a supportive platform where students have an opportunity to implement therapy principles, methods and techniques in a medical rehabilitation setting. Student interns from universities affiliated with Rancho Los Amigos are accepted in the Fall and Spring semesters.

The Recreation Therapy Internship Program is an approved California Board of Recreation and Park Certification (CBRPC) site which uses National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC) and American Therapeutic Recreation Association (ATRA) Internship Guidelines.
