Michelle Sterling, RN

Acting Chief Nursing Officer

Michelle Sterling, RN

Michelle started her career at Rancho as a Student Worker during her junior year in high school. Her interest in nursing became apparent while working on Unit 703, Spinal Injury Service. While working in the Staffing Office she became a Student Nurse Worker and transferred to Unit 1 South, Pediatrics. She was hired on Unit 1 North, Stroke Service, as a new grad. Her interest in education led her to Harbor-UCLA as a Nursing Instructor and ultimately a Senior Nursing Instructor. Michelle returned to school to become certified as a Clinical Nurse Specialist and has been at Rancho for the last year.

As I complete my first month as your Acting Chief Nursing Officer, I am happy and honored for the opportunity to lead you. Though we always put our patients first, we cannot do it alone. If we collaborate and work harmoniously, we can provide the very best possible patient outcomes. Rancho is an amazing rehabilitation facility and I feel a great sense of pride and privilege to work here with all of you.
