Recreation Therapy
The Recreation Therapy Service at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center provides
a wide range of specialized leisure skills and adaptive techniques to improve the physical,
cognitive, emotional and social well-being of our patients. Recreation Therapists work with
patients and their families to provide therapeutic recreation resources, activities
and opportunities to enable patients to resume their previous lifestyle through community
reintegration, group and individual sessions, and one-to-one leisure education sessions.

psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and speech
pathologists in meeting patient-centered rehabilitation goals. Our staff demonstrates expertise
