Inpatient Services
Specialized interdisciplinary teams in the 150-bed
State of the Art Jacquelin Perry Institute provide intensive inpatient
rehabilitation in the following areas:
- Stroke/Gerontology
- Neurology
- Adult Brain Injury
- Spinal Injury
- Pediatrics
Other inpatient services include acute post-operative and medical care.
Outpatient Services
The Outpatient Physical Therapy Clinic provides rehabilitation services for individuals with neurologic and orthopedic/ musculoskeletal dysfunction.
Pathokinesiology Laboratory
The world-renowned Pathokinesiology Laboratory at Rancho Los Amigos, founded by Jacquelin Perry, MD, conducts groundbreaking research and state-of-the-art clinical diagnostic testing. The laboratory is known for evaluation of abnormal motion and muscle activity patterns.
Seating Center
The physical therapists staffing the Seating Center provide specialized evaluations and interventions to address comfort, pressure relief, correction or support for spinal and joint deformities, and mobility of individuals using wheelchairs or scooters.
Center for Applied Rehabilitation Technology (CART)
CART provides a multidisciplinary team that offers a full range of evaluation and intervention services focused on the integration of seating and wheelchair mobility, augmentative communication, and computer access to enhance the independence of children and adults with physical disabilities.
Cardiopulmonary Exercise Laboratory
Cardiac and pulmonary assessments for inpatients and outpatients are used to determine parameters for physical activity. The laboratory is equipped to address the specialized needs of individuals with disabilities, including those using wheelchairs.
