Recreation therapy encourages community reintegration

The Recreation Therapy Department at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center is committed to providing a wide range of specialized leisure skills and adaptive techniques to improve the physical, cognitive, emotional and social well-being of patients. Recreation Therapists work with patients and their families to provide therapeutic recreation resources, activities and opportunities to enable patients to resume their previous lifestyle through community reintegration therapy, group sessions, and one-to-one leisure education sessions.

Our staff demonstrates expertise and pride in all areas relating to the provision of Therapeutic Recreation and is dedicated to providing patients with the tools to become self-sufficient and self-confident in all aspects of life.
