Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteer opportunities are available in many departments at Rancho Los Amigos. Assignments are made to conform to the interests of the volunteer and to the needs of the hospital. Volunteer opportunities are available in the following areas:
- Occupational Therapy
- Physical Therapy
- Speech Pathology
- Recreation Therapy
- Pediatrics
- Nursing
- Hospital School
- Health Sciences Library
- Pharmacy
- Thrift Shop
- Gift Store
Duties performed by volunteers:
- Escorting patients to and from their appointments
- Running errands and relaying messages
- Answering phones
- Record keeping/filing
- Preparing forms and charts
- Photocopying
