David Alan Ginsberg, M.D.
Dr. Ginsberg is Chief of the Urology Program at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center. After earning his Bachelor of Arts degree with distinction from the University of California at Berkeley, he earned his Doctor of Medicine degree with honors from the University of Southern California (USC) Keck School of Medicine. He completed his residency training at the Los Angeles County/USC Medical Center in Urology and General Surgery and was awarded Resident Teacher of the Year in 1993. He joined the medical staff at Rancho in 1997 and is an active member of the Education Committee for the department of Urology at USC and Surgery Committee at Rancho.
Dr. Ginsberg is an Associate Professor of Clinical Urology at USC. In 2004, he earned the Annual Teaching Award from the Department of Urology at USC. His major areas of research interests include: the management of neurogenic bladder, female reconstruction, use of botulinum toxin for voiding dysfunction and management of post-cystectomy urinary incontinence.
He has published a number of peer-reviewed scientific articles, abstracts and book chapters and has made numerous scientific presentations. A Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners, Dr. Ginsberg is also board certified in Urology. He is an active member of the American Medical Association, American Urological Association, Society for Urodynamics and Female Urology, American Spinal Injury Association, American College of Surgeons (Fellow), International Continence Society (Consultant, Publications Committee), California Medical Association, California Urological Association, Los Angeles County Medical Association, and the Los Angeles Urological Society.
