Ernest Rosencrans, M.D., F.A.C.C.
Dr. Rosencrans serves as Physician Specialist at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center in critical care and cardiovascular medicine. His responsibilities include the management of patients with spinal cord injury and quadriplegia. He lectures on the following topics: psychiatry in infective endocarditis, cardiac risk factors, hypertension, valvular heart disease, basic EKG training, care of the quadriplegic patient, ventilator management and weaning; electrolyte disorders, and sepsis.
Dr. Rosencrans earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. He completed a fellowship in Cardiology at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa; residency in Internal Medicine at the Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Los Angeles, California; and an earlier residency training in Psychiatry at the Veteran's Administration Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. He is a member of the American College of Physicians, American College of Cardiology and the American Psychiatric Association. He has spent several years in private practice functioning as Clinical Practitioner, Consultant and Instructor in Internal Medicine (Cardiology) and Psychiatry. Prior to his medical career, Dr. Rosencrans served in the United States Air Force at the Norton Air Force Base in California assigned to the clinical laboratory.
Dr. Rosencrans is Board Certified in Internal and Cardiovascular Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
