Michael D. Scott, M.D.

Dr. Scott is Chair of Rancho's Department of Neurorehabilitation and Chief of the Spinal Cord Injury Program. After earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Biology from Stanford University, he earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science/University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He completed his residency at MetroHealth Medical Center/Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, where he also served as chief resident. He joined the medical staff at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center in 1993.

Dr. Scott is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Medicine/Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at UCLA. He has published a number of scientific articles, made numerous scientific presentations, and has served as co-investigator of several clinical trials related to spinal cord injury. A Diplomate of the American Board of PM&R, Dr. Scott is also board certified in Spinal Cord Injury Medicine. He is a member of the California Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the American Paraplegia Society and the American Spinal Injury Association.
