Driver Evaluation and Training Program

General Information
Since 1957, the Occupational Therapy Department at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center has helped people with disabilities become safe, skilled drivers and has consulted on modified vehicle selection to fit driver needs. The Driving Evaluation and Training Program serves drivers of all ages, approximately 300 persons referred to the program annually.

  • Resource of commercially available equipment
  • Preparation for DMV licensing

  • Driver education for new or experienced drivers
  • Referrals to other driving programs when appropriate
  • Community mobility training/exploring alternatives to driving
