Model Home
The Model Home showcases a variety of assistive technology solutions, ranging from simple to complex. Commercially available products paired with Universal Design principles are used to create an accessible living environment.
The Model Home has a living room, kitchen, bedroom and an office. It features a small bathroom with low tech modifications that enhances the accessibility of an existing room, as well as a large room, combining totally accessible bathing facilities like a roll-in shower, with space for an adapted laundry area. This space has special considerations for the needs of the care provider. The model home allows for a complete assessment of equipment needs in a "real home" environment.
